Position Plant Manager - New Tires

Serves as the facility leader overseeing tire manufacturing plant operations at company's facility in Georgia to achieve business goals and objectives. Responsible for the effective and efficient use of company resources, directing and coordinating all activities within the plant to establish and achieve standards for success regarding environmental health & safety, quantity, quality, cost, delivery schedules, waste, and talent development within legal, ethical and moral boundaries.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver the operational needs of Georgia tire plant. Responsible for focusing on the delivery of product to speed, quality and cost targets while ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee and administer all company policies, processes and programs through managers, supervisors and team leaders both through written and verbal communication.
  • Align plant production objectives and schedule with overall business strategy.
  • Attend leadership meetings and provide key plant updates, issues, suggestions and or concerns to senior leadership. Contribute to strategic policy decisions.
  • Ensure entire plant follows all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Oversee all safety, health and environmental processes.
  • Ensure all plant documentation and production records are completed and maintained accurately and organized properly.
  • Plant liaison for HQ – report productivity, key issues and updates to HQ as requested or needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the entire plant.
  • Ensure all equipment and machines are maintained properly and issues/malfunctions are addressed accordingly.
 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or business; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a business unit, plant or production area in a manufacturing operation; tire manufacturing or automobile industry experience a plus.
  • Experience in a leadership role with a diverse national origin, multi-cultural organization a plus.
